![]() It was a strange suggestion but weirdly made more sense to them than aliens, mostly just because of the holes. Some in the theater gave Evolution's Child an odd look. "Maybe it's mole people." Forty suggested. "They find a hole in the ground and their first assumption is an alien invasion?" Lilith questions. What's the scoop? Command get back to you about it?" "About what?" A soldier named Jansen asked. "So what do you figure?" A soldier named Besson inquiries. The two walked off to join the conversation the other soldiers were having. Kolinski does just that and his arm is perfectly still. "Hold out your hand." Cicero orders, wanting to look for signs of fear like a shaky arm. "Yeah, but - I mean come on, it's never like that." Kolinski says trying to ease Cicero's frustration. You gettin snatched up, like out of a fuckin movie." Cicero says in frustration. That's what we're here to do, we're gonna do it. You aren't too fond of the higher up either." Dr. Personally he doesn't like most higher ups either, especially the O5 Council. "That soldier doesn't seem to be fond of his higher ups." Iris says. "Command's got some fuckin nerve asking us to stick your nose in there."Įpon opened her mouth to ask a question but Clef knew what she was going to ask and answered her before she could ask. "UGV should've picked this shit up way before we got here." A soldier named Cicero says bitterly. "Mole rats should have a good time with that." Kolinski says as he takes a few pictures of the hole. Proceed to next objective, over." She ordered. No signs of the civilian, just a hole here now. "Scepter 1-1 to Helios, we've passed "Ambrose". Lambert got on his radio to contact command. The soldier who dropped the glow stick, Koliski, simply shrugged in response. Kondraki says.Īnother soldier by the name of Lambert spoke up. "I doubt it, when that soldier dropped a glow stick in there it didn't reveal a bottom. "A bomb?" Iris suggests the hole looked like a large landmine or some dynamite went off. Strangely of all was the various humanoid figures floating high above the house."What do you think made that hole?" Dr. The property was surrounded by the forest, it had a large pond, and a large red house presumably the headquarters of the cult. They'd made it to the commune, the headquarters of the cult they are investigating. The view once again shifted to a few minutes later where the group emerged from the treeline of their objective area. "Those weren't my fault! It was all a big misunderstanding!" Lilith defended. "If I remember correctly, there have been plenty of cults formed around or because of you." Dr. "Cults give me the creeps." Lilith says as she remembers some of her own past encounters with various different cults. You may scoff from the ivory towers built to honor your false gods, but when I walk across the transcendent planes, while you suffer in worldly damnation, you'll then know - who is truly saved." Light, darkness, up and down, all are irrelevant concepts to our overlord. You are being fooled, every day, your veil of ignorance is far less transparent than you'd ever known. "Your senses deceive, and it is prudent never to trust wholly those who have deceived us even once. ![]() As they passed through the field the voice of Ethan could be heard from a nearby intercom system. The fire is still burning so it was only recently lit. The clearing was full of scattered hay bales and in the center of it was what looked to be an occult religious symbol that had been lit ablaze. The group continued through the forest until coming across a large clearing. "It would seem we're expected." Lambert answers. "The fuck is this shit?" Cicero asked disturbed by the out of place posters. That's why those posters are made." Iris answers. "What do you think happened to them?" Forty asked. "If I see that while walking in a forest, I'd turn around and walk away." Iris says. "That's a lot more than what they told them in the debriefing." Cain adds. This was odd given that they were practically in the middle of nowhere. The montage ended when they came upon a group of trees with missing person posters stapled onto them. The group made their way carefully to their next objective as shown by a montage of them quickly moving through the forest on high alert the entire time. "An MTF division that specializes in underground exploration." Dr. "Who or what are the mole rats?" Iris asked. "Command's sending some Mole Rats over to have a look at it. ![]() "I think you talk too much." Reyes answers bluntly. "What about you, Reyes? What do you think?" "Here's hoping." Besson says before turning to an approaching soldier. Always do." Kolinski suggested with confidence. Any conclusion I would jump to - it would just be conjecture." Kolinski answered. "Well you're smart, right? What's your take on it?" Besson asked. "What, the hole? Nothing yet." Kolinski says.
